Problem compiling/deploying with Qt Creator 2.6.2, possible bug?

Hi! I am using Qt 4.8.4 (msvc2008, static) to code one of my projects and to distribute the executable to my “schoolmates” (end user). I can compile my program using Qt Creator 2.6.2 and it run properly in my PC but when it is distributed to my end-user, they get an error: The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail. However when I compile my program using an OLDER Qt Creator 2.6.0, the distributed executable works on all of my end-user machines, “plus my executable is reduced by 0.5Mb in size”. Is this a possible bug in Qt Creator 2.6.2? How can I solve this? Thanks in advance
